This policy applies to the Fingerchase app and its official support pages. “We” means Parsifal Chen, the app provider shown on the App Store. Apple, GitHub, websites opened from the app, and destinations you choose in the system share sheet process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Fingerchase processes personal content primarily on your device. Personal scores, imported images/PDFs/audio, microphone audio, recognition results, and detailed practice records are not uploaded to our servers. Opening the forum connects to our service to read public content. Version checks retrieve our update notes and query Apple for the store version. Subscription verification, referrals, and external links may also use the network. When you sign in with Apple and deliberately post, comment, react, report, manage content, or join referrals, our service processes the related data described below.
The app may store practice and viewing history, favorites, settings, onboarding and daily-goal choices, trial and entitlement counters, permanently unlocked pieces, personal-score metadata and files, conversion results, piano-calibration data, and recognition-optimization parameters. This information supports requested features, restores local state, personalizes practice, and enforces trial or subscription access. Except for the referral-eligibility summary described below, complete practice history and performance content are not sent to us.
Structured scores, images, PDFs, and audio are accessed after you select them through a system picker. The app may copy selected files to private storage, create temporary files, and save conversion results. Personal source scores, note data, and recordings have no public-link, sheet-music export, printing, or sharing feature. You may deliberately export the current piece’s synthesized piano performance as WAV audio or share a poster containing only permitted practice-summary fields. Your chosen system-share destination receives the selected export. These actions do not automatically upload content to our servers. Import and share only content you have the right to use.
Microphone permission is requested only when you start real-piano practice, calibration, or recognition optimization. Audio frames are analyzed on the device while the feature is active; raw microphone audio is not uploaded to us or saved by the app as a recording. Derived calibration or optimization parameters may remain on the device until you delete them. Because an active microphone can capture nearby sounds, use the feature only when appropriate and stop it before private conversations.
Apple processes purchases, renewals, refunds, payment credentials, fraud prevention, and Apple Account information. The app receives limited StoreKit information such as product, transaction verification, subscription state, and expiration so it can provide Pro and Pro+ access; we do not receive your full card details. Depending on your device and Apple privacy settings, Apple may also make limited crash reports or aggregated diagnostics available to help us fix defects. Apple controls its own collection, security, and retention.
Forum topics, comments, public aliases, support counts, developer replies, and public statuses are visible to anyone who visits the forum. Browsing does not require sign-in. Posting, commenting, showing support, reporting, blocking, or managing your content requires Sign in with Apple. Our service processes the app-specific Apple user identifier and app account token, your public alias, topics and comments, reactions and reports, content history, and necessary app/build, locale, time, moderation, and security records. We do not request your Apple Account name or email. Never post personal information, personal scores, recordings, payment details, or other sensitive content.
Older versions allowed private feedback using a random installation identifier; the server stored only its SHA-256 hash for abuse prevention. That legacy feedback is not automatically made public and never automatically included scores, recordings, or practice history. It is linked to the current forum identity only if you sign in and deliberately claim an eligible legacy topic.
The referral and rewards program is optional. If you join, Sign in with Apple confirms a unique identity without requesting your name or email address. Our service stores the app-specific Apple user identifier, invitation code and relationship, first-use and onboarding-completion times, eligible practice-session ID/start/end/effective duration, redeemed permanent pieces and rewards, subscription transaction ID/product/purchase/expiration or revocation times needed to verify rewards, and App Attest integrity keys, receipts, and counters. This information is linked to the referral identity and used only for authentication, duplicate and fraud prevention, eligibility decisions, reward delivery and synchronization, and refund handling. It is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. Eligibility reports do not contain played notes, accuracy, recordings, score content, or complete practice history.
Core practice features and purchasing or restoring Pro or Pro+ do not require a Fingerchase account. Forum browsing also requires no sign-in, while forum participation and referrals use an app-specific identity provided by Apple. Outside these optional network features, we do not request your name, email address, contacts, precise location, health data, biometric data, or unrestricted photo or file-library access. We do not include third-party advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs, use an advertising identifier, track you across other companies' apps or websites, build advertising profiles, sell personal information, or use personal data for legally or similarly significant automated decisions.
Apple provides App Store, subscriptions, Sign in with Apple, App Attest, and store-version queries. Cloudflare hosts our forum, legacy feedback, referrals, and update notes. Network requests involve the IP address and request information needed for the connection; we do not use them for advertising or cross-app tracking. GitHub Pages hosts the support site, and GitHub logs visitor IP addresses for security. Forum posts and GitHub Issues are public: never submit passwords, payment information, personal scores, recordings, or other sensitive information. When you open an external site or deliberately share text, a poster, or exported audio, the chosen site or destination handles what it receives under its own practices.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, on-device processing provides features you request; subscription processing fulfills requested purchases; and forum, legacy-feedback, and referral data support services you deliberately choose and our legitimate interests in functionality, content governance, fraud prevention, security, and customer support. Information may also be handled when required by law. You may withdraw microphone permission, stop optional features, sign out, and manage your forum content. Withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing or automatically remove records needed for content governance, delivered rewards, refunds, fraud prevention, security, or legal obligations.
You can delete personal scores and related practice data, calibration data, and recognition-optimization data in the app. Other local history, favorites, settings, and access state remain until app data is removed or the app is uninstalled; Apple-managed backups may retain copies. Forum content is retained as needed for public display, edit history, developer communication, moderation, abuse prevention, and security. A topic can be deleted within five minutes of posting and hidden from public lists; afterward it can be withdrawn. Related history and minimal moderation records may remain. Referral identity, eligibility, reward, transaction, and security records remain as needed for the program and legal obligations. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription or automatically delete server records.
You can revoke microphone permission, delete supported local content, manage Apple backups and subscriptions, browse the forum without signing in or stop using it, and edit, delete, or withdraw eligible topics and comments you own. To request access, correction, or deletion of data held by our forum, legacy-feedback, or referral service, email 962412311@qq.com. We may request your public alias, topic details, invitation code, or other verification needed to prevent impersonation. Minimal records may remain for content governance, delivered entitlements, refunds, disputes, fraud prevention, security, or legal obligations. Contact other providers directly for information they independently hold.
We reduce risk through app-scoped storage, system permissions, explicit file selection, on-device processing, HTTPS, server-side token hashing, App Attest integrity checks, and encrypted backups. No device, software, server, backup, or transmission method is completely secure. Use a device passcode, keep software current, review backup and sharing settings, retain lawful copies of important files, and do not submit sensitive content through public channels.
Core Fingerchase practice does not require an account, and Fingerchase does not provide targeted advertising. We do not knowingly use forum, legacy-feedback, or referral services to process children's personal information beyond what is needed for those features and content governance. Parents or guardians should supervise a minor's forum posts and interactions, referrals, file imports, microphone use, external links, sharing, and purchases, and use Apple's family and purchase controls.
Your personal scores, imported files, microphone audio, and detailed performance content are not uploaded to our service. Forum, legacy-feedback, and referral data described above, and information handled by Apple, Cloudflare, GitHub, external websites, and share destinations, may be processed in other countries or regions according to service locations, privacy notices, and applicable safeguards.
We will update this policy and its effective date before or when our data practices materially change. Prefer the in-app forum for product ideas and discussion. If the app is unavailable, use our public support page. Both are public, so never include personal or sensitive information. For access, correction, deletion, or other privacy-rights requests, email 962412311@qq.com instead.
